Ketogenic diet (KD) is a high-fat low-carbohydrate diet used
as an effective treatment in patients with refractory epilepsy, including some
inflammation-induced epileptic encephalopathies such as fever-induced
refractory epileptic encephalopathy in school-aged children.

This article includes the summary, methods, results, discussions,
and conclusion for an experiment conducted on male rats. The experimenters
created two groups of rats (one on the ketogenic diet, and one on a standard
diet), and took readings such as:
Body temperature
Cytokine and prostaglandin measurements
RNA Extraction and qRT-PCR
Data was then analysed using PRISM 5 software (GraphPad, San
Diego, CA, U.S.A). Statistical analysis was then performed using repeated
measures analysis of variance and the Mann-Whitney Test.
